Bridget Akinmadelo

My name is Bridget Akinmadelo, originally from Nigeria living in Canada, precisely Ottawa, Ontario. Bloom Fashion House is a passion turned business. Fashion have been part of me from childhood and sewing was also a passion even when there was no sewing machine. Hand crafted designers such as elegant royal hats for inter-house sport at school, short sport skirts, and designing identity chest labels were the beginning of my sewing journey in life, (all at school).
This Bead can be worn by bride and as a costume for special occasion like birthday for photoshoot.
Later years in life, the journey was not like bed of roses, full of ups and downs, difficult to make ends meet with sudden changes as one would say, “from grace to grass” starting from the scratch. Something struct my mind, the idea of no matter how difficult life present itself, children first, they must be made stable. They must be well taken care of, no matter how hard it is at home, they are innocent and lovable. They must bloom as if everything is fine especially in their elegant attaires. There came an extension of generosity towards other children in need of necessities and mostly clothing either casual or occasional wears, then to all ages until this clause was added, the idea to enlarged, and elegant sewing came in as a business.

"Goldenlily"

This business was started with sewing cute children wears which was then named “Goldenlily”, a combination of my children’s name until the parent was requesting for adults’ outfits as African culture believe in family wearing same attires to suit each occasion.

“The journey so far started in Nigeria and thereafter resurrected back to life after years in Canada. I have been opportune to hold many certificates in Entrepreneurship programmes in Canada and in sewing classes to meet up with Canadian standards.
